St. Vincent, a brilliant music maker

Around September in the last year, Daniel De Sousa, guitarist from the venezuelan band La Vida Boheme posted on his instagram's account a picture from the album "Strange Mercy" suggesting the album. It was from that moment that I'll start to know the intriguing Annie Clark better known as St. Vincent, a character so special as an odd old book that you save all your life no matter what.

St. Vincent was born in September, 28, in Dallas Texas, is being known as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, so let's focus on the multi-instrumentalist side, go on from playing a variety of instruments like the piano; the guitar or the bass, are her biggest passion, turned her on a prominent lady, techniques that you could watch by your own with a video at the final. Let's talk about the music genre that she makes, pop indie, indie rock, experimental, well as the own Annie Clark wrote in TheTalkHouse recounting the Arcade Fire's album "Reflektor" as "an album that elucidates our constant psychic vacillation between uber-connection and utter disconnection" that will be for sure my definition for her music genre.

St. Vincent has four studio albums Marry me (2007), Actor (2009), Strange Mercy (2011), and her last LP , launch this year  "St. Vincent".

Every record has an own sound, an own world, from the iconic "Now Now" and reverberating drums and my favorite guitar sounds, to another sounds like "Surgeon" when you realized her guitar talent or perhaps a composure but brilliant like "The Strangers" keeping touch with brass instrument and dark lyrics; this song will appear in the Kid Kudi's song as a sampler, on "Maniac" from the album Man On The Moon II, judge by your own your favorite one!

Annie Clark has a unique ability, and to finally see her, here she is playing the fabulous solo on Surgeon, first video before my top 5 of the week.

Let's talk about her lyrics, as well she writes it, St. Vincent's lyrics are about love passions, the fake sense of society or interpersonal relationships that retract in succulent metaphors, at least by my own criterion. These stuffs are feed with music videos, videos like 'Cruel" and a buried woman by her own family or maybe a St Vincent asking for help on "Marrow" whereas is being followed by people, or a St. Vincent in a colorful zone, explaining us those Digital Witness; a spectacular video, beautiful photography, colors, lights and shadows.

To finalize this post is needful so many posts about this particular musician, despite I vow to post constantly in the #MusicDays about her musical work.

Finally here it is my week's top five, ENJOY!
